I want to take a minute to offer my special thanks to Jackson’s Greenhouse for the extra special service they delivered along with our poinsettias this year. I had placed my pre-order for Christmas poinsettias back in November and at that time, we scheduled delivery of the plants on Dec. 21st, anytime between 10 am & 3:30. In the meantime, Mom was scheduled for her first visit to her oncologist on – guess what? – Dec. 21st at noon! I called Jackson’s first thing on the 21st with two possibilities in mind; one, I was hoping we were early on the delivery schedule and they would be here by 11 am or two, we could reschedule to Friday. Patrick, who answered the phone said our plants were still at the greenhouse so option one was out. But, he said, wait a minute. When he came back, he said Jill would put our plants in her car and deliver them by 11 am. Oh, my! How can I ever thank them enough? My Christmas spirit, which had been quite low so far this year, grew by quite a lot that day!
