Children’s Formation

Currently, we do not have children’s program such as Sunday School before church.

During the service, we more than welcome children to worship with us even if they praise God a little louder than most.  In the entrance area, there are several art supplies that can be taken into worship for the children to work on.

Before the Sermon, Pastor Andrew will have a Children’s Sermon that talks about a major element of Christian faith.  They are sent back to the pews with activity sheets that are different each week looking at the elements of scripture.  There are also two different levels for lower and higher elementary level children to make sure materials are proper for all the children.

As parents, there are times that we really need silence and reflection.  This can really become present when we are trying to connect with God in worship, but our children have other plans.  We understand and support you (and your children, because they might want to go do an activity instead of sitting in worship).  Therefore, we have a nursery in Trinity Hall with attendants to give your child the attention they need while you enjoy worship.  Just let the greeter at the door know and they should be able to help guide you.  (Also, know that if you just need a moment with your child, there is an area in the entrance with a sofa and activities in which you can still see worship through a window)

During the summer months, we share in developing a Vacation Bible School with two other ELCA churches in Topeka.
