Pr. Walt celebrates 55 years in the Ministry!

Please join us for worship Sunday, July 10 as we celebrate with Pr. Walt. Here is a bit about him:

Pastor Walter Laughlin was ordained on July 2, 196l at Our Savior’s Lutheran, Osage, Iowa.

He served Immanuel Lutheran, rural Cushing, OK. He and Helen Fischer were married April 11, 1964 at Lohman, MO. Walter also served Trinity Lutheran, Oklahoma City, OK, Our Saviour’s Lutheran, Dannebrog, NE, Concordia Lutheran, Concordia, KS, United Lutheran, Hampton, NE, and the dual parish, St. Paul, Byron and St. Paul, Hardy, NE. He received a year of Clinical Pastoral Education and was on the staff of Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, IA.

He retired from active parish ministry in the ELCA on November 13, 1994. He and Helen moved to Topeka, KS November 16, 1994.

Walter and Helen are the parents of Mrs. Michael (Stephanie) Mueller, Tulsa, OK (kids Elsa & Greta), John (Julie Suhr; kids, Alane & Meredith), The Plains, OH and Mrs. Bob (Michele) Peck (kids Alison & Ryan), Waterloo, IA.
